Taofun: Community Markets on Solana and Bittensor
TAOFUN · IMPLEMENTATION OVERVIEW
00/ Abstract
Taofun is an interface for community markets across Solana and Bittensor. Its execution model separates token identity, metadata publication, network selection, market creation, and confirmed discovery. Wallet ownership is maintained throughout the process.
This document describes the application routes and their limits. It is an implementation overview for Taofun, not the Bittensor protocol whitepaper.
01/ Identity and metadata
A token begins with a creator-selected identity and project description. Artwork and metadata are stored at immutable content-derived URLs. Signed publication requests bind the creator, origin, expiry, and content to the requested operation.
Creator profile revisions can update supported project information without changing the original on-chain token metadata. Revision checks prevent stale updates from overwriting a newer profile.
02/ Launch routes
SOL bonding curves use the Pump.fun launch path. Custom SPL pairs create a fixed-supply Token-2022 mint and a Raydium CPMM pool in separate wallet transactions. Native Bittensor launches use the configured EVM contracts and quote assets.
The selected route determines the required wallet, quote asset, network fees, and market mechanics. These details are displayed before execution. A Solana TAO quote token is not interchangeable with native TAO.
03/ Execution and confirmation
Transactions are prepared for the user's wallet and simulated where the route supports it. The wallet provides authorization; the application then checks the receipt. Pending states are retained to discourage duplicate submissions.
Discovery registers launches only after the relevant receipt and metadata are verified. Recovery can continue a partially completed custom-pair launch from a confirmed mint.
04/ Price discovery
A constant-product liquidity pool relates its token reserves through x × y = k. Trades change the reserve ratio, subject to pool fees and rounding. Bonding-curve markets use their protocol's pricing mechanism instead.
Slippage limits bound an acceptable execution amount; they do not make a displayed quote permanent. Market history comes from available indexed DEX candles or verified chain events, and coverage can be incomplete.
05/ Limits and references
Community tokens can lose all value. Raydium launchers retain their LP tokens; Bittensor launch contracts send LP tokens to the burn address. Third-party programs, wallets, storage services, and RPC providers introduce their own availability and security assumptions.
For the Bittensor protocol's peer-to-peer intelligence market, consensus mechanisms, and original mathematical treatment, read the official paper linked below. Taofun does not redefine that protocol.
